FATCA compliance for Financial Institutions extended till September 30, 2016
The U.S. government has agreed to Israel’s request to postpone the deadline for FATCA compliance to September 30, 2016. Israeli financial institutions will need to begin reporting U.S. accounts by that date.
Israel has yet to develop legislation on how to apply the FATCA agreement signed with the U.S. and relevant regulations. This will be done in the upcoming months.
